Fans were previously elated when rumors regarding Injustice 3 made the rounds. A new update on the situation once again points to a third Injustice title from the developer.

A new report from MP1st via Twitter confirms that Injustice 3 is indeed in the works at the moment.

NetherRealm Studios typically operates on 3-4 year development cycles. Therefore, the game could show up at some point in 2027 or 2028. It should be noted that Injustice 2 made its debut in 2017, so it will have been a full decade by the time its sequel arrives.
Fans can expect to see new characters inspired by James Gunn’s DC universe appear in the upcoming Injustice title. Previously, the likes of Deadshot made their debut in the series following popular adaptations in films and other media.
