- Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has now sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
- The game has exceeded Embracer Group’s expectations in sales.
- The RPG’s new DLC and extended support from Warhorse contributed to higher sales.
In a year dominated by Expedition 33 and its clean sweep of all GOTY honors, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 also cemented its place among the most important video game releases of 2025. The Warhorse RPG garnered critical acclaim worldwide, winning GOTY at the European Game Awards.
Moreover, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has become an overwhelming commercial success for the studio, reaching 4 million copies sold back in November and now surpassing the coveted 5 million milestone according to a new update.
Why it matters: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has turned out to be one of the most exciting and inspired RPG titles of the past few years. Hence, seeing Warhorse succeed through its hard work is encouraging, as the game will be remembered for years to come.

As reported by Embracer Group in its Q3 fiscal report, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has performed “well ahead” of the company’s expectations, selling more than 5 million copies in its first year.
Thanks to support from multiple expansions, including the most recent Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has become a commercial juggernaut for Embracer Group. The game was among the top 5 back-catalog titles driving revenue for the company this quarter, alongside Dead Island 2 and Killing Floor 3.
Hence, when you account for this overwhelming commercial success and the fan response to the in-depth mechanics of the series, it’s not a surprise that Warhorse is remastering the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance for current-gen consoles.

Even though the RPG was snubbed for Game of the Year in favour of Expedition 33 at most major award shows, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is still leaving a lasting impact and commercial success across all platforms.
