CD Projekt RED has reiterated its ambitious plans for The Witcher 4 on multiple occasions since the RPG’s announcement. The team is aiming to deliver a deep RPG experience inspired by the likes of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, while also providing lifelike visuals for maximum immersion.
According to the studio, it intends to exceed the bar set by The Witcher 3. Toward that end, the team has also confirmed that the composer from the last game is returning to make music for The Witcher 4.
Why it matters: The Witcher 3 was an all-around solid RPG and received praise for multiple aspects, including the soundtrack, which many believe stood out as one of the highlights.

According to Pawel Sasko, who worked as a Quest Designer on The Witcher 3, the veteran composer Marcin Przybyłowicz is returning to work on The Witcher 4.
For context, Marcin Przybyłowicz also served as the lead composer on Cyberpunk 2077. Both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 received plenty of praise for their music, so it seems fair to say that The Witcher 4 is in good hands.
As for his other works, Marcin Przybyłowicz even worked on The Witcher 2 for CD Projekt RED. Moreover, he received credit for composing ‘Village of Shadows’ for Resident Evil Village.

Overall, CD Projekt RED is pulling out all the stops for The Witcher 4. With plenty of veterans on the team and experienced people leading the charge, the RPG is certainly shaping up to be something special.
