AMD GPUs Outsold All Of Nvidia And Intel's Stock Combined!

Story Highlight
  • AMD’s latest generation of GPUs is giving Nvidia a run for its money.
  • The RX 9070 XT has outsold all Nvidia RTX 50 series cards in Germany.
  • The GPU is even the best seller on Amazon USA as AMD asserts its presence.

Nvidia has been the market leader in the GPU space for as long as one can remember. After years of dominating, the market is now seeing a shift towards AMD as it unarguably provides better value, especially with the current generation.

A new report indicates that AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT outsold all of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 series cards in Germany, becoming the best-selling GPU. Even the RX 9060 XT sold 515 units in just 7 days.

Why it matters: RX 9070 XT is a solid offering as it is much cheaper than Nvidia’s counterparts, and in some cases even goes toe-to-toe against much expensive offerings like the GeForce RTX 5080

This comes from Mindfactory‘s weekly sales report, revealing RX 9070 XT’s supremacy in sales compared to Nvidia. For context, the former sold 925 units this week, compared to all of the RTX 50 series’ 920 units.

Even the second-highest-selling card for the week was the RX 9060 XT with 515 units sold, overtaking the RTX 5070 Ti. In total, AMD shipped 1,560 units and outsold all of Nvidia and Intel’s stocks combined.

The retailer’s complete list of GPUs sold shows that the RTX 5070 Ti was the only Nvidia card that had good enough sales, with 390 units sold, while the rest couldn’t even sell half as many of Nvidia’s upper-midrange GPU.

RX 9070 XT is also the best seller on Amazon USA, highlighting the shift in the  GPU market. However, Nvidia’s market share is still quite huge as it dominates the Steam charts, but the empire seems to be in danger.

Team Green’s GPUs have had all sorts of issues this year, from complaints of high prices to melting connectors, and not-so-big an upgrade, and more. Nvidia really needs to step up its game with the next generation of its RTX lineup to win back its customers.
