The Next Silent Hill Game Is Reportedly Set To Launch In Early 2026

Silent Hill Townfall Will Allegedly Focus On Short Stories!

Story Highlight
  • The release date of Silent Hill Townfall has already been leaked by a Mexican online store.
  • The game is a spin-off in development by Screen Burn in collaboration with publisher Konami and Annapurna Interactive.
  • It is expected to launch on March 26, 2026, and Konami may announce a transmission soon to confirm it.

The Silent Hill IP has made a strong comeback in recent years. The last game, Silent Hill F, was well received for its unique horror elements that strayed away from the series’ formula without ruining its essence. Therefore, fans have been looking towards what’s next.

It appears that the next SH entry is launching much sooner than anyone expected. Silent Hill Townfall, the anticipated spin-off in development by Screen Burn, is apparently launching on March 26, 2026, just 6 months after Silent Hill F made its debut.

Why it matters: Silent Hill Townfall’s success could usher in a new age for spin-offs, which explore various formats and genres that stand out from the mainline entries.

The game’s release date was leaked on the e-shop Liverpool Mexico. Fortunately, the Polish outlet CD Action captured screenshots of the listing before the shop wiped the date. The date quickly being deleted also adds to the credibility of the rumor.

Notable Silent Hill figure Rachel Ashmun also corroborated the leak on Twitter, clarifying that the date is too specific to be a placeholder. Therefore, Konami might be preparing a new transmission to announce the date officially.

It might even be shown at Microsoft’s newly announced Xbox Partner 2025 showcase.

Silent Hill Townfall
Not much is known about Silent Hill Townfall.

We can also expect new details about Silent Hill Townfall, as nothing official has been revealed since the teaser trailer three years ago. The community is still concerned about its progress since its development has faced controversies in the past.

A past leak suggested that Silent Hill Townfall will be based on short stories that focus on ghosts from a town’s past. The gameplay will match The Short Message’s format, so there won’t be any weapons but only jumpscares, investigations, and pursuit footage.

On a side note, a Silent Hill 3 remake is also reportedly in development and planned to launch in 2028.

Do you think Silent Hill Townfall will prove to be a massive release in the franchise despite being a spin-off? Are you looking forward to it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, or join the discussion on the Tech4Gamers forum.
