The studio has confirmed that Cronos: The New Dawn has already sold over 200K copies at launch. It has also been wishlisted more than 1 million times. This is a huge number considering it is a new IP.
Why it matters: Cronos has captured the fan with its spine-chilling horror and jumpscares, along with a pretty interesting story. Considering how low its budget was, Bloober has another hit on its hands.
As of September 8, the horror title has already sold 200K copies in just 3 days since its official release. Moreover, Bloober Team confirmed that the budget was just around $27 million, and it needs just a million sales to break even.
Since the launch has been so solid, we can expect the game to reach good figures. It isn’t just shaping up to be a commercial hit, but it also has pretty good reviews. On Steam, it currently sits at ‘Very Positive’ reviews.
Anyhow, the horror genre is now thriving at this point. Silent Hill f is set to release soon, we also have Resident Evil 9 in the pipeline, and another Silent Hill Remake has been announced, so horror fans will be eating well.
