Social media users have also claimed that content creators, insiders, and a select few individuals have already been playtesting the game over the last few months under NDAs. Geoff Keighley has also recently confirmed that he spent playtesting Marathon today.

All these happenings have further fueled the ongoing rumor mill that Bungie is preparing to fully reveal Marathon—or a major announcement is on the back burner for—later this month.

For those not in the know, Bungie’s Marathon is a reboot of the Marathon game from 1994, with the twist of a fun extraction shooter sprinkled in. However, it’s best to be cautiously optimistic about the entry until Bungie reveals more details.
