Several months later, Xbox and id Software have returned with brand new gameplay footage. The team has also confirmed a release date for the latest Doom entry.

During the Xbox Developer Direct, Doom: The Dark Ages became the center of attention in no time. id Software debuted another round of gory and brutal gameplay, showing the Doom Slayer in all his demon-killing glory.
The new footage highlights id Tech’s graphical prowess, giving fans a new look at the next-generation Doom experience, which makes full use of features like ray tracing for the best possible results. Various story and exploration elements have also been shown.

As for the release date, Doom: The Dark Ages arrives on May 15. Like other first-party releases, the title will arrive on day one on Game Pass for Xbox and PC gamers in May. Also, it will be available on day one on PS5.
