Silent Hill 2 Remake has had quite an interesting journey so far. From being considered one of the most disappointing remakes to becoming a highly anticipated title, Bloober Team’s latest project has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride.

With the October 8 release date right around the corner, Bloober Team has shared its expectations for this launch. Reflecting the current excitement, the team feels quite confident about its work.

Why it matters: The developer previously asked fans to give it a chance. The messaging is very different today, showing a completely different side of Bloober Team.

As reported by journalist Grzegorz Suteniec, the studio recently shared its revenue for the first half of 2024 and outlined expectations for the next half.

The company made PLN 48.9 million in revenue, while profits grew by 200% year-on-year. However, the developer believes Silent Hill 2 Remake will ensure these results are left in the dust next month.

We are convinced of the high quality of this game.

According to the statement, everyone who worked on the remake is happy with the results.

Perhaps the most interesting part here is that Bloober Team always seemed to have faith in its latest project. In the past, the team pointed to poor marketing from Konami as one of the reasons behind the mixed reception.

With this no longer being much of a concern, the studio is more than happy to display its confidence.

Other reports also reveal that Bloober Team played a key role in ensuring Silent Hill 2 Remake launched on PC on day one. It is said that Konami wanted full PlayStation exclusivity, but the developer realized that this would be a huge misstep.

Perhaps this is one reason the team is so confident. With Steam being as big as it is today, this iconic horror game could find a huge audience on the platform. The reviews are also due next week, so fans of the franchise have a lot to look forward to.
