- Lords of the Fallen has just joined the Xbox Game Pass library.
- The title offers a decent Souls-like experience.
- It joins a rich month of May for Game Pass that already included Hellblade 2 and Immortals of Aveum.
Lords of The Fallen was released last October. While it didn’t have the best reception overall, it is a decent enough Souls-like experience that fans of the genre should experience, especially now that it’s finally out on Game Pass.
Why it matters: Game Pass audiences are no strangers to Souls-likes since the likes of Lies of P have been huge hits on the service before.
Lords of the Fallen’s initial trailer stunned and promised a wonderful experience. However, the final game wasn’t that great and seemed lost in the very saturated world of the Souls-like genre.
Anyhow, Game Pass availability means the title will now open up to a huge new audience. This will also enable many players to experience the title who liked it but never got around to buying it for one reason or another.
Game Pass has already had plenty of big games this month. Between releases like Hauntii, Immortals of Aveum, and Hellblade 2, Lords of the Fallen is just one more great addition to the catalog in May.
It’s no secret that Lords of the Fallen generated $60 million in revenue after its release.
With CI Games signing a contract with Xbox, the publisher has likely received another large sum for this Souls-like. Overall, the title continues to be a major source of revenue nearly one year later.
In the future, Lords of the Fallen could exceed the $100 million revenue target that CI Games set. Its availability on subscriptions may even entice a few people into a purchase, making it a win-win situation for CI Games.
