Call Of Duty 2025 Likely To Be Day One Game Pass Title!

Story Highlight
  • Call of Duty has yet to arrive on Game Pass.
  • The Xbox President has reiterated that each new Xbox release will be added to the service from day one, including this Activision series.
  • She believes in keeping day-one Game Pass releases since they are special for the fans.

Following Xbox’s decision to pursue studio closures and multiplatform gaming, various rumors have surfaced. Among them, one pointed to Microsoft’s uncertainty around the release of Call of Duty on Game Pass.

However, it seems Xbox is still following through with its promises. During a recent interview with Bloomberg, Xbox President Sarah Bond assured fans that day-one Game Pass releases would not be going anywhere.

Why it matters: Since Call of Duty is incomparable to anything else in Microsoft’s gaming lineup, fans were quick to consider whether it would be treated differently compared to the rest of the lineup.

She also confirmed that more games would be launched on the service later this year. This led to a question about Activision’s slate on the service, and Sarah Bond confirmed that this publisher would be no exception.

The Activision Blizzard deal was completed several months ago. While Xbox has yet to provide much information on Call of Duty’s arrival, this is not the first time it has hinted at a day-one subscription launch for the franchise.

Sarah Bond’s statement is further proof that Call of Duty is on its way. She highlights that Microsoft intends to continue offering this incentive since it serves as a unique benefit for all Xbox players.

Over the years, fans have come to expect AAA blockbusters on Game Pass at launch. Therefore, Microsoft does not intend to change its approach today.

With the upcoming reveal for Call of Duty 2025 rumored for next month, an announcement is expected from Xbox during its major showcase.

However, the question remains if the other Activision Blizzard games will also join the service. While Diablo 4 is now available, fans continue to anticipate franchises like Crash and Spyro joining Game Pass alongside Call of Duty.
