Lies of P DLC Announcement Expected Tomorrow

Expect More Souls-Like Goodness!

Lies of P launched on 19 September and became one of the best releases of 2023. With a successful demo and heaps of content featuring multiple endings, the game was poised to be a hit leading up to its release.

Over a month after 19 September, Lies of P sold over 1 million copies. Given the fact that this is a new IP, the game has performed quite well, and the developer is happy with its success.

The studio has confirmed a special teaser for tomorrow, and it is speculated that this may be related to a DLC announcement.

Why it matters: One of the endings in Lies of P already teased a DLC or sequel for the game. Following the appearance of a mysterious character, fans were quick to discuss the possibilities of a sequel.

The official Lies of P Twitter account mentions that the team has prepared a special video to thank the fans. In terms of the speculation related to a DLC announcement, a recent job listing from Neowiz pointed to additional content for the Souls-like.

Apart from the job ad, director Choi Ji-Won has stated that a DLC release is planned for the game since the team did not want to waste the beautiful universe of Lies of P on a single game.

The Souls-like was also reviewed much better than anticipated, making it the best release for the genre in 2023. Therefore, it would not be shocking to see the studio capitalizing on this success through a DLC reveal.

Combining the director’s statement, the job ad, and the hint toward the game’s ending, we believe it is safe to expect more content for the game, even if DLC is not included in the live stream tomorrow.

Lies of P excels in the core gameplay that has made the Souls-like genre so popular. It presents players with the tools to overcome any challenge as long as they are willing to overcome certain challenges.

We have enjoyed this gameplay loop so far and hope to return to the game once more content is released.

The title is also part of the excellent library of Game Pass in 2023. Curious players looking to try this game or the Souls-like genre, in general, can use this opportunity to take the plunge into this arduous but immensely satisfying journey.
