Everybody's Gone To Rapture Dev Leading Project!

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is a horror RPG from 2004 that immerses players in the sinister vampire realm of contemporary Los Angeles. Its sequel, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, has just received an exciting update.

Previously, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was planned for a release long before 2023, but the game was delayed indefinitely due to several development issues.

However, developer The Chinese Room has taken over the project now, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is set to be released in Fall 2024.

Why it matters: The long and unexpected delay to the game had left fans feeling disappointed, but the latest update about the project has been positively received.

The Chinese Room has released a video on the game’s development, confirming that it will be released in 2024. A full gameplay reveal is also set for just a few months from now, in January 2024

The Chinese Room has previously led projects like Everybody’s Gone to The Rapture. Following such games, the developer has gained a reputation for deeply engaging and atmospheric games with a focus on story-telling.

This made the developer a suitable choice for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and the studio describes its rendition as powerful, dark, violent, and visceral, characteristics fitting for a vampire-themed RPG.

Following the announcement, Sean Greaney from Paradox Interactive elaborated that The Chinese Room has shown a lot of passion and respect for the source material, making it a great fit for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.

With its reputation for crafting exceptional storylines, the studio is committed to delivering captivating narratives in the haunting world of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, allowing players to take the role of an Elder vampire.

The game will be headed to PC, PS5, and the Xbox Series S|X, with more details coming early next year.

This announcement marks an exciting turn for fans anticipating a sequel to the nearly two-decades-old RPG, bringing a fresh approach from a capable development studio.
