New Gameplay Potentially Coming This Month!

The much anticipated Black Myth: Wukong will finally receive a playable demo soon, but the demo appears to be limited to the Chinese market. According to a new report, the demo will be released on August 20.

Why it matters: Black Myth: Wukong has shown incredible potential in the gameplay footage so far. It took the internet by storm after several promising gameplay videos featuring the story of Sun Wukong.

As seen above, the Co-Founder of GameScienece Studios recently shared a new artwork. According to the report, the developer is teasing a new demo for the game.

Unfortunately, the demo may not be available for Western fans. The teaser does not mention a Western release for the demo, which might hint at the upcoming build being exclusive to China.

Nonetheless, fans can look forward to plenty of gameplay footage of Black Myth: Wukong after the demo is released. The demo should give fans a look at the latest build of the game, highlighting the progress since previous videos.

Last year, a source claimed that Black Myth: Wukong had been subject to development hurdles. The game was rumored to have showcased concept footage in previous years, with the studio struggling to create art assets.

While this report remains unconfirmed, the developer’s latest work should allow fans to draw better conclusions about the current state of the title.

The development of Black Myth: Wukong initially began on Unreal Engine 4. However, the game has since shifted over to Unreal Engine 5. It is scheduled for current-gen consoles and PC, allowing the studio to utilize the new engine and its capabilities.

While an exact release date has not been specified, the game is expected to arrive in 2024. Following the demo, GameScience Studios could be gearing up to reveal more information about the game.

The upcoming demo may be a small part of a long marketing campaign for Black Myth: Wukong, which could mean that an exact release date may be revealed soon.
