Intel Will Reportedly Increase Prices of All Current And Next-Gen Processors

Upto 20% Price Increase By Autumn!

According to a report by Nikkei Asia, we know that Intel has informed its partners about the price hike of all products this autumn, so it is expected to take effect in the last quarter of this year.

The products that will be affected range from consumer-level processors to computing servers and several other products, including Wi-Fi & connection controllers.

According to reports, rising production costs and the pricey bill of material needed to make Intel’s chips are the leading causes of the price increase. This price increase is also consistent with the worldwide inflationary spike, which has caused consumer product prices to rise by up to 9.1% in June, a 40-year high.

The Percentage increases in prices have not yet been decided. But it could be different for different kinds of CPUs. The costs can be increased from 10% to 20%.

Whether the price will affect global or only specific markets is still to be confirmed. Luckily for right now, the cost of the current stock will be the same. After this stock is depleted, the price will be increased for the new inventory.

Latest Updates

This price increase will reportedly affect all of the company’s processors. This involves Alder Lake (12th Gen Intel Core), Raptor Lake (13th Gen), and the future Raptor Lake Refresh (14th Gen). You could not miss a price increase for Intel Core and Core Ultra laptop processors.

The price hike won’t seem to impact Intel’s dedicated graphics cards. Given that the Intel Arc A750 is currently the best alternative available, this is a relatively positive development. In other words, the GPU gives the highest performance for its price.

Intel will maintain its competitiveness in the GPU market in this way. The same cannot be said for CPUs. Considering the current processor’s low sales, increasing prices might affect sales further.
