Tekken 8 Beta Seems Likely!

It has been over six years since the last installment from the Tekken series was released, and fans have found themselves impressed with Bandai Namco’s work on Tekken 8 so far.

With the anticipation surrounding the game, fans have taken to Twitter, asking Katsuhiro Harada about the game. Among other information, the Tekken 8 beta has also been teased by Katsuhiro Harada.

A fan asked about a weekend beta for Tekken 8, and Katsuhiro Harada replied to him, saying that they are doing closed alpha testing for now. He then stated:

We are still only doing closed alpha testing at each event, so please wait for the beta.

This may seem like fans will get the downloadable Tekken 8 beta in the coming time, as Katsuhiro Harada requested fans to wait for it. The developer did not necessarily confirm or deny anything, but the tweet seems to hint that a beta is likely.

Previously, popular fighting games like Dragon Ball FighterZ have conducted beta tests before launch. According to recent reports, the highly anticipated Street Fighter 6 will also introduce an open beta soon.

As such, a beta seems like a safe bet, but fans are still suggested to take it with a grain of salt as it has not been officially confirmed yet.

Though no official date has been announced for the game, Tekken 8 is expected to be released in the early months of 2024, as hinted by Katsuhiro Harada.

While talking about the game graphics recently, Katsushiro Harada and Michael Murray said they are not satisfied with the game’s graphics and think they can do better. Katsuhiro Harada also confirmed that the game would have crossplay support.
