Just 2 Months Till Launch!

First announced in the fall of 2020, the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 16 is set to launch on June 22, 2023, as a timed exclusive for PlayStation 5.

Just a few months before launch, the game has now officially gone gold, which means that the game is playable from start to end and is ready to be printed on discs and shipped for release.

This is good news, considering there are still months left before the game’s official release. This will give developers time to polish the game further, dealing with any bugs and glitches in the process.

Previously, Final Fantasy 16 Producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed that a playable demo would be released just a couple of weeks before the game’s official launch. He also mentioned that the demo’s save data would be transferable to the full game.

Some more gameplay details regarding the game were revealed at the recent PAX EAST 2023 show.

Naoki Yoshida confirmed that Final Fantasy 16 would feature two graphics modes on the PlayStation 5. The graphics mode will focus on quality with 4K resolution while being locked at 30 fps, while the frame rate mode will offer 60 fps at 1440p.

Final Fantasy 16 is set to feature an open world with vast environments and beautiful landscapes, from deserts to forests. The game will focus on action gameplay rather than the traditional Final Fantasy approach to provide a fresh experience for returning and new fans.
