Intel has finally started challenging its competition with significant price cuts and, as a result, has discounted the price of its Arc graphics card lineup. We recently saw a significant price cut on the Intel Arc A750 from a Japanese retailer, and now the Intel Arc A770 from Acer is getting the same treatment.
The AACER Predator BiFrost Arc A770 is a custom variant that retailed for $399 at launch. Acer has now reduced the price of the Predator Arc A770 to just $349. The ACER Predator Arc A770 also comes with a total of 16GB of VRAM and is still listed at its original price tag of $399 on the official store website, while Amazon is offering a 13% discount making the card retail for just $349.
Being a custom variant of the Intel Arc A770, the ACER Predator BiFrost comes with an overclocked frequency out of the box. Acer has also increased the power target on the custom variant to 280W, making it achieve a boost clock of 2400 MHz compared to 2100 Mhz on the reference card. Furthermore, the ACER Predator BiFrost Arc A770 also offers a hefty cooler design and comes equipped with a 2.5-slot cooler and a custom PCB with dual eight-pin PCIe connectors.
The ACER Predator BiFrost Arc A770 also comes with an unusual fan design. The card comes equipped with a regular 92mm fan at the right with a flow-through design, while in the middle, the card comes equipped with a 5th generation Aeroblade 3D design fan. According to Acer, a 5th generation Aeroblade 3D design fan offers extra cooling to the internal components.
The ACER Predator BiFrost Arc A770, for $349, is the only card available in the price bracket that offers 16 GB memory. Intel has also worked a lot on its Arc drivers and has improved a lot in the game, offering massive gains, especially in DX9 titles.
