007 First Light Targets Around 20-Hour Campaign For The Average Player

And This Is Without The Already-Announced Additional Missions That Will Be Added Later!

Story Highlight
  • 007 First Light is all set to release on May 27, by the Hitman Studio,  IO Interactive.
  • Its story length has now been confirmed, and it will take about 20 hours to complete.
  • Previews point towards yet another big hit in the making in an already stacked year.

2026 has been an epic year for gamers. From hits like Resident Evil Requiem to Pragmata and Saros, players have already been eating well. Now, May is set to be another fantastic month with big releases like Forza 6 and 007 First Light

Developed by IO Interactive, 007 First Light is set to tell a James Bond story, and its campaign will reportedly take about 20 hours to complete for the average player. This sets it at the sweet spot for story-based games.

Why it matters: When full-priced AAA titles are quite short and don’t even cross the 10-hour mark, fans often complain that they aren’t getting their money’s worth, but 007’s length seems just about perfect.

JorRaptor recently got to play 007 First Light and revealed that the game’s campaign will generally take about 20 hours to beat. And this is without the recently announced tactical simulator that will add more new missions.

At its heart, the title feels like a proper Bond game, and unlike a reskinned Hitman, as most anticipated it would be. Having played the first 4 hours, the YouTuber says, it is already among his favorite games of 2026.

The 20-hour campaign is sweet and will unarguably incline a lot of players towards the title. And if all the early previews are to be trusted, we are about to get another banger on May 27 in the form of 007 First Light.
