Tomb Raider is among the best and most fan-favourite franchises in the gaming industry. Lara Croft and her adventures are always intriguing, and fans can never get enough of them.

The last mainline game in the series was released in 2018, so it has been a long time since fans had a new experience. Rise and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are still among the most beautiful games in the industry.

That said, the series has reached a new milestone. The franchise has sold over 100 million copies ever since its debut in 1996.

Why it matters: Tomb Raider debuted in 1996, and ever since, the franchise has been evolving, featuring a strong narrative and, of course, Lara Croft, one of the most iconic characters.

The official Tomb Raider website just recently announced that this legendary franchise has sold over 100 million units worldwide. This is arguably a huge milestone, so the series deserves a lot of appreciation.
