Game Pass On A Roll Again In 2024!

Story Highlights
  • Steam’s top 10 wishlisted games of 2024 include various upcoming titles from all genres.
  • Half of these will be available on Game Pass from day one.
  • The service will also offer multiple big first-party games at launch.

Xbox Game Pass has been committed to the day-one launch model for many years, offering a variety of different games from the beginning.

This model also means that users from different platforms are often attracted to the subscription. Further highlighting this appeal, half of Steam’s top 10 wishlisted games are heading to the service at launch.

Why it matters: All combined, these games would cost a hefty sum to purchase on Steam. However, Game Pass would allow users to access them at a fraction of the cost.

Manor Lords Is Leading The Wishlist Charts

The most wishlisted games on Steam range from first-person shooters like Stalker 2 to the Souls-inspired Black Myth: Wukong. Among these games, most of the big titles are heading to Microsoft’s service.

The Game Pass list includes the following games:

  • Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
  • Frostpunk 2
  • Hollow Knight Silksong
  • Manor Lords
  • Ark 2

Four of these games are slated for launch at some point in 2024. Hollow Knight Silksong is the exception, but recent hints have provided evidence that it will not be delayed into 2025.

The game has been rated by two different boards, and a new Xbox Store page went live earlier this month. All in all, Microsoft seems to have a solid list of games lined up for the service this year.

It is also important to note that this is just a small part of what Game Pass will offer in 2024. The service has already added titles like Resident Evil 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider this year.

Day-one first-party titles include Hellblade 2 and Indiana Jones. Meanwhile, major third-party games like Persona 3 Reload were released into the service earlier this year.

Among these games, Stalker 2 and Hollow Knight Silksong would be our most anticipated releases. The former looks to be Unreal Engine 5 at its best, while the latter has been a mystery for so long that we can’t help but look forward to a full reveal this year.

In total, 40 day-one releases have been announced for Game Pass already. Therefore, fans should stay tuned as these games continue to add further value to this incredibly appealing subscription service.
