The Order 1886 Now Has A PC Port!

Story Highlight
  • The Order: 1886 now has an unofficial PC port in early development.
  • It already runs at 60FPS on PC with keyboard and mouse support through this project.
  • The game still has issues that need to be ironed out, but it is already being updated to address these concerns.

The Order 1886 remains one of the most divisive PlayStation games from the PS4’s lineup, though its sequel was expected to be a much more ambitious project.

With Sony never really doing much with the game, fans previously took it upon themselves to make it playable on PC via emulation. A native PC port for the game is also in the works now.

Why it matters: Games have been receiving unofficial PC ports left and right, with this practically becoming a new trend.

As shown above, The Order 1886 can hit 60FPS when running on an RTX 5070 and Intel Core i5-14600K combo. This is already better than what the PS4 could do with the game, with the title limited to 30FPS to this day on PS4 and PS5.

The port also supports keyboard and mouse controls, but unlike other recent PC versions, it has a number of visual bugs and issues that need to be ironed out. For instance, the third-person shooter can sometimes experience massive performance drops.

Given the rapid progress seen in these PC ports, however, these issues aren’t that big a deal and will likely be ironed out soon.
