The PS3 had several high-quality first-party titles to its name. Games like Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 were considered system sellers for the platform, but very few games had the influence that Naughty Dog managed with its final release on the PS3.
A few months before the launch of the PS4, Naughty Dog released The Last of Us. The game was released 10 years ago, and it is arguably the most important IP for modern PlayStation consoles. It tells an intriguing story, one that is worth playing even today.

The Last of Us was quick to capture audiences with its exceptional narrative. It takes place in a post-pandemic world where the main characters, Joel and Ellie, have to rely on each other to survive in the harsh world.
The characters are compelling, and their stories left an impression on the entire industry. Naughty Dog also won several awards for the title in a year with competitive releases like GTA 5.
Naughty Dog pushed the limits of the PS3 hardware with The Last of Us, leading to gorgeous visuals. The game was later remastered for the PS4, providing even better visuals at 60FPS.
It also sold more than 17 million copies, with 6 million copies sold in the first year after release. This success meant it became one of the fastest-selling games in 2013.
A sequel to the game was released in 2020, and Naughty Dog recently remade the title for the PS5. The Last of Us Part 1 delivers improved visuals and gameplay, bringing the game on par with modern releases. A PC port was recently made available, but it launched in a poor state, leading to negative reviews.
Reports have also claimed that Naughty Dog is currently working on a third entry in the franchise, but the developer has not officially confirmed this information.
