Sumo Digital game developer has a variety of games under their umbrella featuring titles such as Crackdown 3 and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Sumo Digital’s last game was released a little over a year ago, and the developer is working on several future projects since then.
At the moment, the developer is working on 11 new titles. Two job listings have revealed more information on one of these games. The studio is looking to hire a Lead Level Designer at Sumo Sheffield for the upcoming project.
The job listing mentions a brand new AAA open-world IP. Sumo Digital is now working on a game that is much bigger in scope than their previous projects with an engaging world map in particular.
Furthermore, the job posting reveals another key aspect of the upcoming game. The new title will have a unique focus on expressive traversal. Given Sumo Digital’s history with platformers like Sackboy and Crackdown 3traversal mechanics in the game world, this seems like a natural fit for the team.
The upcoming game is also likely to feature multiplayer mode too while being based on Unreal Engine. This is evident in two of the requirements stated in another job listing for a Lead Level Designer-Open World Action.
