- Star Wars Outlaws didn’t perform much commercially.
- The game’s enemy AI was flawed, along with other issues that caused it to receive backlash.
- However, it has received recognition because of its soundtrack, as it was nominated for Best Soundtrack at the Grammy.
While Ubisoft was really ambitious with Star Wars Outlaws, things went wrong. The title was plagued with many issues, such as Terrible enemy AI, which caused it to become Ubisoft’s massive failure.
Yet, there is still good news for the game’s developers, as Star Wars Outlaws was nominated for Best Soundtrack For Video Game at the Grammy.
Why it matters: Star Wars Outlaws’ music composition was one of the game’s positive aspects.
Star Wars Outlaws has been highly criticized but received two nominations at the Golden Joystick Awards. Now, it has been nominated for the Best Soundtrack award.
Although Star Wars Outlaws is an interesting inclusion, the other games included in the nominees are God of War, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Marvel Spider-Man 2, and Wizardry.
It’s worth noting that Bear McCreary (God of War) is a regular nominee at this point because his name has been thrown into the pot during every Grammy Awards ceremony where this category has existed.
Wilbert Roget II composed the Star Wars Outlaws soundtrack, which featured additional music by Kazuma Jinnouchi and Jon Everist.
Nevertheless, Star Wars Outlaws was also nominated for two Golden Joystick Awards, which include Best Lead Performance and Best Audio Design. The awards describe the game’s impressive performance in the music domain.
