- Spider-Man 2 is heading to PC next year.
- The title will come with a slew of upgrades and all previous content.
- This port marks PlayStation’s fastest release for a first-party title on the platform.
Following exciting PC ports like Ghost of Tsushima and God of War Ragnarok, PlayStation has announced yet another first-party title for the platform out of nowhere.
A PC port for Spider-Man 2 was leaked in 2023 after Insomniac suffered a major hack, and PlayStation has just made it official. Insomniac’s latest title is heading to the platform in early 2025.
Why it matters: Spider-Man 2 is joining the platform just over a year after its PS5 release. This makes it one of the fastest ports yet, setting an exciting precedent for the future.
According to the official announcement, the title will be available for PC gamers worldwide on January 30.
As always, the PC version will offer a slew of enhancements over the PS5 version. Led by Nixxes Software, this port is expected to offer a polished experience for everyone in January.
Insomniac also seems to confirm that no DLC is currently planned for Spider-Man 2. Instead, the title will come with extra content, including NG+ and DLC costumes, on PC next year.
Major updates to Spider-Man 2 include ray tracing overhauls to make full use of more powerful hardware on the platform. Fans can also expect more details to show up in the months to follow.
Following this release, Insomniac fans can look forward to more information on Wolverine. As per a leaker, more details about this game will be shared soon, making it an exciting time for the studio after it suffered a huge leak last year.
