Silent Hill 2 Remake was released last year as a timed exclusive for PC and PS5. It helped open up the franchise to a whole new modern audience, but Xbox users still haven’t been able to get their hands on it; that could be changing soon.
The Xbox Store has leaked that Silent Hill 2 is set to release on November 21, 2025, over a year after the initial launch. The reports of the port had been circulating for some time now, but this almost makes it official.
Why it matters: The game’s exclusivity period of 1 year expired last month, and since the launch of Silent Hill f, Xbox fans had been waiting for the port. The wait, it seems, won’t be too long anymore.
TrueAchievements posted a picture of Silent Hill 2 on the official Xbox Store, confirming the release date. However, the listing has since either been made private or removed, as it doesn’t exist for the general public anymore.
We’ve been anticipating the port for quite some time, as previously the Silent Hill website suggested it, and it recently also received an ESRB rating. There are also rumors of a Switch port, but that isn’t confirmed for now.
The listing doesn’t mention the much-anticipated ‘Born From a Wish‘ DLC, which hasn’t shown up even a year after the release, and doesn’t look to be included with the Xbox port either, unless Bloober Team is hiding it.
Anyhow, this is great news for Xbox fans as they had to wait a long time for the port. Silent Hill 2 Remake is widely considered a superior version to the original and delivers every bit of the scare and tension expected from it.
