AMD’s two new processors, Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D will be launched tomorrow, and it is expected that the 3D V-Cache will give satisfying results to PC gamers. We have already seen the performance graphs from AMD, which claimed that the new flagship processor would be up to 24% faster the r than the Core i9-13900K.
Chi11eddog, a reliable hardware leaker, claims to have benchmarks featuring the Ryzen 9 7950X3D coupled with GeForce RTX 3090 in only five games. As you can see in the benchmarks below, the Ryzen 7950X3D, on average, performed 12% faster than the i9-13900K and 18% faster than the 7950X.
We see a brutal performance difference on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with 149 FPS, while the i9-13900K only hits 110 FPS. In Far Cry 5 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we also see a difference of 11%, but in Metro Exodus, it only goes up by 5%, and in Star Control, its performance is lower than in Intel.
In the previous benchmarks, released a few days before, we saw that the Ryzen 9 7950X3D was 5.6% faster in games than the Core i9-13900k.
The source also shared Cinebench test results, showing that Ryzen 9 7950X3D obtained 37,973 points. It is slightly lower compared to the 38,500-39,000 points a Ryzen 9 7950X gets. The same if we compare it to the 39,500-40,000 points that Core i9-13900K usually reaches with good cooling in Cinebench R23.
If these results are the ones we will see in games, we will face an exciting processor for all those players looking for the highest amount of FPS. Of course, we are talking about low resolutions such as 1080P because, in 4K, we will barely notice performance improvements, and even a mid-range processor will do just fine.
Finally, we remind you that the Ryzen 9 7950X3D reviews will arrive this afternoon; we will see how they perform.
