Pragmata Becomes One of Capcom’s Highest-Rated Games on Steam

Overwhelmingly Positive Reviews!

Story Highlight
  • Capcom’s latest title, Pragmata, a brand-new IP, has received a positive critical reception.
  • It has now become one of the highest-rated Capcom games of all time.
  • This marks a total sweep for Capcom, with all 3 of its 2026 releases being big hits.

Capcom’s latest entry, Pragmata, has taken the world by storm. For a new IP, it has absolutely nailed almost every aspect, received universal praise from critics on Metacritic, and the overall reviews tell a similar story.

Pragmata has debuted with overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, 4.75/5 on the PS Store, and a 90 user score on Metacritic, making it one of the highest-rated Capcom games of all time, trailing only a few classics.

Why it matters: While you expect high reviews from established franchises like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, getting a similar response for a brand-new IP is truly impressive, given the current industry.

Pragmata has some glowing reviews with an overwhelmingly positive reception on Steam.

Pragmata peaked at around 68K players on Steam, which in hindsight doesn’t seem like a massive number, but it’s still decent for a new IP. However, the reviews are glowing, and players seem to absolutely love it.

Its Steam reviews are only behind some notable titles like Resident Evil 4, Requiem, and a couple more. But then again, this is an established franchise with a gigantic fan base, so the comparison isn’t really there.

The audience seems to absolutely love the experience.

This marks yet another successful release for Capcom, which doesn’t seem to miss the mark. All 3 of its games released this year, namely Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3, and Pragmata, have been critically received
