Looking at the images, it’s clear that PlayStation has used generative AI to come up with the art. Inspecting the ‘Neon Brawler’ avatar closely further confirms that this technology has been used in the creation process.
The Japanese text in the ‘Neon Brawler’ avatar is made up of random characters, a classic giveaway that AI was used when creating the art for these avatars.
The sad part is that the use of generative AI will only become more widespread in the industry as time goes on. Many developers, like the Dead Space creator, are backing AI use and interested in seeing how this technology will evolve.
Therefore, it would not be shocking if more and more AI-generated avatars continued to show up on PSN in the coming months.
