Basically Got The GPU For Free!

Story Highlight
  • A Redditor has managed to find an incredible deal on a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
  • The user has obtained the card for just $12 at a Goodwill bin store.
  • He confirmed that the graphics card works completely fine and was basically brand new at the time of the purchase.

Modern graphics cards belonging to the Nvidia RTX 50 and RTX 40 families have all seen varying degrees of price hikes recently, largely due to the ongoing memory crisis. Because this crisis has also impacted SSD prices, PC gaming has become more expensive overall.

However, many PC gamers continue to share incredible finds on social media. Previously, one user managed to find memory after dumpster diving, and now a Redditor has shared an account of securing a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti nearly free of cost.

Why it matters: The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti retailed for $400 when it originally made its debut. A quick Newegg search shows that the GPU can cost as much as $500 today.

According to a Reddit post from u/FunInformation8453, the user managed to buy an RTX 4060 Ti for just $12. Note that the image shows this is an 8GB variant of the RTX 4060 Ti, but given the incredibly low price of $12, the VRAM hardly matters.

As per the user, this deal was hiding around at the bin store Goodwill. The Redditor also explained that bin stores like Goodwill are frequently restocked through returned goods, among other things, making such deals possible.

The user further noted that the RTX 4060 Ti is brand new and works perfectly out of the box, even sharing an image of the graphics card being used in an existing PC build for those in disbelief.

Of course, many in the replies have noted how they feel jealous of the user for finding such an unreal deal.

Although the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is not Nvidia’s most popular graphics card and has seen its fair share of criticism, practically anybody would be happy to own one for such a low price.
