Valve has announced the Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller.
The Steam Machine offers a console-like gateway to PC gaming, thanks to SteamOS and solid hardware.
The hardware is said to be powered by a 28CU RDNA 3 GPU, allowing it to trade blows with home consoles like the PS5.
Valve has found plenty of success in the hardware market with the Steam Deck, and it seems the company is keen on continuing this success. Following recent rumors, the gaming giant has announced three new pieces of hardware.
Among them, a brand new Steam Machine has been revealed, becoming the center of attention.
Why it matters: Xbox intended to offer a PC-like experience with its next-gen console. It seems Valve has just beaten Microsoft to the punch.
Steam Machine specs.
Dubbed the Steam Machine, Valve’s upcoming hardware is advertised as a PC capable of playing the latest and greatest AAA titles.
Much like the Steam Deck, the Steam Machine will run SteamOS and support existing Steam libraries. Valve says the upcoming hardware is a whopping 6x more powerful than the Steam Deck, making it well-equipped for most of the platform’s current library.
As for the specifications, Digital Foundry reveals a 6-core/ 12-thread Zen 4-based CPU setup along with 16GB of DDR5 memory. The Steam Machine is also said to be equipped with a 28CU RDNA 3 GPU running at up to 2.45GHz and a 110W TDP.
For context, the base PS5 ships with a 36CU RDNA 2 GPU and an 8-core/16-thread Zen 2 CPU. Depending on the price, then, Valve’s hardware should be quite the capable offering for current-gen games while supporting features like ray-tracing.
Of course, this is not the first time Valve has tried its hand at dedicated console-like hardware. However, with vital experience gained from the Steam Deck, the company should be able to avoid the failures of its last attempt at exploring this market.
The Steam Machine will also position Valve as a direct competitor to both PlayStation and Xbox. Moreover, it will become the home of both PlayStation and Xbox titles for those seeking a PC experience in a console-like form factor.
Valve has also announced the Steam Frame and Steam Controller. The former is a new VR headset, and the latter will complement the new Steam hardware for PC/console gaming.
What do you think about the Steam Machine from Valve? Do you think it will offer a solid option to those seeking a console-like experience from PC gaming? Share your thoughts in the comments and on the Tech4Gamers Forums.

Black Ops 6 is the best-selling PS5 game in the US of all time in terms of Dollar sales.
The top 10 list includes 3 different Call of Duty games from the last 3 years.
PlayStation games in the list include Spider-Man 2, Miles Morales, and GoW: Ragnarok.
PlayStation has dominated hardware numbers this generation, while Xbox has severely lagged. Amongst the most popular games on PS5 is the Microsoft-owned Call of Duty, and numbers show how popular it is with PlayStation users.
According to recent sales data, Black Ops 6 is the best-selling PS5 game of all time in the US in terms of Dollar Sales. The data covers sales beginning from the release of the console in 2020 up to this year, with many notable Sony games missing from the list.
Why it matters: Considering how Microsoft makes a huge chunk of its Call of Duty revenue from PlayStation, it’s no surprise that the company decided to go full on multiplatform for its future releases.
Black Ops 6 is the best-selling PS5 game of all time in the US
Circana has released a list of the best-selling games in the US in terms of Dollar Sales, and Black Ops 6 towers above all on the PS5. In fact, the top 10 list includes 3 different Call of Duty games from the last 3 years.
These include 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 and 2022’s Modern Warfare 2. PlayStation published games include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in the 2nd place, while the other two in the top 10 include Miles Morales and God of War: Ragnarok.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 occupies the 2nd spot on the best-selling list
This not only shows how Call of Duty dominated on the PS5, but also how Sony has a huge problem when it comes to live service or multiplayer games, the biggest example of which is the disaster of Concord.
Destiny 2 has fallen quite a lot, even Helldivers 2 doesn’t make the list. However, the company would be hoping it can reignite the genre with next year’s Marathon and FairGames, which are currently in development.

Announcing the milestone on Twitter, Warhorse Studios has thanked the fans for their continued support. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 made its debut in February, so the game has now achieved 4 million sales in less than 10 months of its release.
The RPG also returned to Steam’s best-sellers list recently, thanks to a 40% discount. At the time of writing, the RPG is just behind big upcoming releases like Black Ops 7, falling at the 11th position on Steam’s overall list.
Moreover, it boasts an active concurrent player count of around 32K players. Needless to say, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 remains extremely popular despite being one of the first few big releases of the year.

Heading into December 2025, many are counting on Warhorse Studios’ latest release to bag Game of the Year.

It’s one of those brands I’ve always been curious about. Because their keyboards tend to stand out from the rest in the market. So, finally, when Womier sent over the ERA75 for review, I was genuinely excited to see what all the hype was about.

Key Takeaways
The Womier ERA75 is a compact 75% keyboard with wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity, along with VIA software support for customization. It’s versatile, user-friendly, and DIY stickers add fun.
You should buy the Womier ERA75 if you enjoy customizing your keyboard aesthetics, care about build quality, and premium typing sound.
You should skip the Womier ERA75 if you want a lightweight, portable keyboard with adjustable typing angles and need shine‑through legends.
The Womier ERA75 stands out by combining sturdy build quality, premium features, and thoughtful design in an accessible 75 % form‑factor. Unlike earlier models that leaned more toward entry‑level materials or simpler layouts, the ERA75 uses a full aluminum case with powder‑coated finish, gasket‑mounted structure, hot‑swappable POM Series switches, and south‑facing LEDs.

On the front, we have the keyboard’s model name and Womier branding printed in shiny gold, along with a sticker-style design that you’ll later see in the box. The same gold sticker motifs can be seen along the sides. Flipping it over, the back features a gold outline of the keyboard itself along with the usual details about Womier’s social handles and the manufacturer’s information.

After opening the box, you’ll first see the manual guides and a black envelope placed on top, with ‘DIY Stickers’ written across it in gold. As the name indicates, it includes three sets of themed stickers. Beneath that, we have the keyboard itself, wrapped in a plastic sleeve. On each side, there are two black foam inserts to keep it safe during shipping. Lastly, on top of the keyboard, there is a black cardboard box labelled Accessories. Here is the list of everything that you’ll find inside the box.

Design
Design
The Womier ERA75 comes in several color options. You can choose from Cyberpunk, Black Gold, Doomsday, Bronze, Ice, and Interstella, each featuring its own unique theme and different matching extra keycaps. The one I have for this review is the Doomsday variant, which has an all-white body paired with black keycaps. Interestingly, all of the variants share these black keycaps, with the main difference only being in the color of the keyboard’s body.
Taking a closer look at the keyboard, you’ll notice that Womier has added engraved patterns on each side of the case. These are meant for the DIY stickers that come in the box. You can cover the entire keyboard with them or place a few stickers here and there. The corners are cut in a unique way that is kind of chamfered, but not in the usual sense. For a broader look at other top-tier boards, you can check out our best gaming keyboards roundup to see what else is available in the market.
Layout
Layout
The Womier ERA75 uses a 75% layout, available in both ANSI and ISO versions. It includes 80 keys, a single knob, and keeps the essentials close together. The arrow keys, function row, and navigation cluster are all included, and it doesn’t take too much desk space. For my day-to-day use, whether it’s typing or gaming, I found it to have a nice balance between full-sized and TKL. One thing I really like is that the volume knob isn’t fixed and can be hot-swapped.
Volume Knob
You can choose to keep the knob for volume control by moving it left and right or mute it by pressing it down. In comparison, if you prefer a more traditional layout, you can swap it out for a Home key instead. The process is super simple as well. Using the included 2-in-1 keycap and switch puller, just take off the Home keycap and the switch underneath. Then line up the knob’s metal contact pins with the hot-swap socket and press it in until it’s fitted.

Typing Angle
Flipping the Womier ERA75, I can say that Womier didn’t neglect the underside either. It has the same engraved patterns found on the sides and top for the included stickers, which you can place here. The overall surface has a smooth matte finish that complements the rest of the keyboard nicely. You’ll also find four rubber feet placed at each corner, which do a solid job of keeping the keyboard stable on the desk.
Instead of being a single flat piece like most keyboards, the back section is slightly carved out. It almost feels as if there’s a separate layer extending from the main body. Because of that, it naturally sits at a fixed 6° typing angle. There are no adjustable feet here, but I didn’t really miss them. The built-in angle feels just right for everyday use and is comfortable enough for long typing sessions without straining my wrists.
Build Quality
Build Quality
When it comes to build quality, the Womier ERA75 leaves a pretty solid impression. The case feels sturdy and well put together, with no creaks or flex when you pick it up or apply pressure. It’s built from a full aluminum case, and you can tell the moment you pick it up. The keyboard weighs around 1900 grams, which gives it a really satisfying heft. Of course, it can feel a bit overbearing to some, and it isn’t made with portability in mind. The only purpose of it is to be there on your desk.
The dimensions are 323 x 150 x 20(34) mm, making it relatively compact for a 75% layout but still substantial enough. I personally like this balance, as it’s not bulky for me and doesn’t feel flimsy or toy-like at the same time. The case surface uses a powder-coated finish. It gives the keyboard a smooth, matte texture that resists fingerprints really well and adds a slightly grippy feel when you grip it. The coating also helps the color stand out more vividly, especially on this Doomsday white variant.
Keycaps

Keycaps
Accent Keycaps
Womier went with a nice set of PBT keycaps for the ERA75. They’ve got that slightly textured surface that feels grippy and resistant to shine. The legends are clean and crisp thanks to the double-shot molding process. Each color variant also includes three themed accent keys for the Escape, Enter, and Spacebar, and they’re dye-sublimated to match the keyboard’s aesthetic. For those who enjoy more personalization, our best custom gaming keyboards guide includes options that let you go all-in with unique keycap sets and mods.
If you like the look of those themed keys, Womier also sells the full matching keycap set as an optional add-on for around $20. Personally, I think that’s a pretty solid deal considering the quality and design consistency. I’m actually planning to grab the whole set myself for my Doomsday variant because I can already imagine how good it’ll look with the full set of themed keycaps instead of the default black ones, which would really tie the aesthetic together.
RGB Lighting

RGB Lighting
RGB Lighting in a Dark Environment
The RGB implementation on the Womier ERA 75 is fantastic. It’s the kind of RGB that doesn’t just look good in the dark, but also manages to stand out nicely even in a well-lit room. The lighting here is bright, vivid, and just the right mix between bold and minimal. Thanks to the south-facing LEDs, the RGB glow beautifully surrounds each keycap, creating a soft ambient light. Womier uses an LED diffuser design in the switches to help distribute light more evenly across the board.
Each key has per-key RGB illumination, and the diffusion through the keycaps is smooth with no harsh hotspots. You can really see the difference when cycling through effects. Out of the box, you get 17 different lighting effects, everything from subtle breathing and static glows to full-on rainbow waves and reactive animations. The presets cover just about every possibility, but if you’re the kind of person who loves customization, Womier gives you complete control through its software.
Switches
Switches

POM ASH Switches
Switch Housing
The Womier ERA75 uses Womier’s own POM Series switches, and the one I have in my Doomsday variant comes with POM ASH switches. Each keyboard color variant comes with its own matching switch color, which honestly shows how much attention to detail Womier has put into the board’s overall design and theme. These are linear switches with an actuation force of 50g, pre-travel of 1.8 ± 0.4 mm, and a total travel of 4 ± 0.2 mm.
They’re made from complete POM material, which gives them the signature deep, smooth sound profile POM is known for. The switches also come factory-lubed, and right out of the box, they feel incredibly soft, with no scratchiness or spring ping, providing a nice, consistent linear glide. There’s zero scratchiness, and the travel feels clean from top to bottom. It is hot-swappable and is compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin switches.
Connectivity
Connectivity
1 of 2
Interface
Cable and Dongle
The Womier ERA75 provides three connectivity options, which include wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth, so you can easily switch between them depending on how and where you’re using it. At the top of the keyboard, right in the center, there’s a USB Type-C port. On the left side of the port, you’ll find a toggle switch for Mac and Windows, since the keyboard is fully compatible with both operating systems, along with Linux, iOS, and Android.
On the right side, there’s another toggle that lets you switch between wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes. In wired mode, the keyboard works at a 1000Hz polling rate with around 8ms latency. What’s even more impressive is that 2.4GHz wireless maintains the same 1000Hz polling rate, with just 13ms of latency, which is barely noticeable even in competitive play. On the other hand, Bluetooth drops down to 125Hz, which is fine for casual typing or productivity use.
Battery Life
The Womier ERA75 comes with a pretty hefty 8000mAh battery, which is one of the largest I’ve seen in a keyboard of this size. Womier claims it can last up to 350 hours on a single charge with the backlighting turned off, and while that figure comes from lab testing, it gives you a good idea of how long-lasting this keyboard can be.
In my own testing, I didn’t quite hit those numbers since I keep the RGB on most of the time, but the battery life has still been very impressive. Using it mainly in 2.4GHz wireless mode with moderate brightness, I easily got over a week of use before needing to plug it in. If you use Bluetooth or turn off the lighting, it’ll last much longer.
Typing Experience
Typing on the Womier ERA75 is genuinely pleasant. One of the standout features here is its gasket-mounted structure. Instead of rigid screws holding the case down, the keyboard uses gaskets to support the frame. This adds a bit of flexibility to each keystroke, softens the bottom-out feel, and absorbs vibrations, all of which makes typing feel gentler. It also has a multi-layer damping system, including Poron plate foam, IXPE switch pads, PET acoustic pads, EPDM case foam, and PET insulation film.
Moreover, combined with the flexible PC plate, pre-lubed POM ASH switches, and fine-tuned stabilizers, it results in a typing experience that’s soft and remarkably quiet. There’s minimal internal wobble or hollowness, and every keypress feels deliberate and controlled. The combination of the aluminum case, damping layers, and pre-lubed switches produces a muted, thocky sound that feels premium rather than loud or harsh.
Performance
Edges
When it comes to performance, the Womier ERA75 really delivers across the board. Thanks to the POM ASH switches, gasket-mounted structure, and well-damped aluminum case, every keypress feels precise, smooth, and satisfying. The combination of these elements makes typing fast and accurate when I’m writing reviews like these. Gaming performance is equally impressive. During testing, I didn’t experience any drops or lag in wireless mode.
The 2.4GHz dongle connected instantly, and the range was solid even a few feet away from the PC. Bluetooth pairing was equally seamless, especially if you plan to use it with a laptop. Charging is done through the USB-C port at the top, and it charges up fairly quickly for such a large battery. I like that Womier didn’t just pack in a big battery but actually optimized its power management, and fortunately, it doesn’t disconnect randomly.

The Womier ERA75 is fully compatible with VIA’s web-based configurator, making customization a breeze. Getting started with it is straightforward. First, you’ll have to download the ERA75 JSON file from the product’s official page. Then, head over to the VIA web app. Once there, open the Design tab in the settings and load the JSON file you downloaded. This imports the keyboard layout into VIA. Next, go to the Configure tab, click “Authorize device+”, and select your ERA75 from the list.
After connecting, VIA instantly recognizes the keyboard, and you can start remapping keys, creating macros, or customizing lighting. It is intuitive and easy to navigate, letting you customize in just a few clicks. For RGB lighting, it enables you to adjust brightness, speed, and patterns, or even create your own custom effects. On the macro side, you can assign sequences, shortcuts, or even complex commands to a single key.
Should You Buy it?
Buy it if
✅ You want a premium 75% keyboard: It combines a full aluminum case, gasket-mounted typing experience, and pre-lubed POM ASH switches to deliver a solid, high-quality feel.
✅ You need versatile connectivity: It supports wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes, all with low latency and reliable performance.
Don’t buy it if
❌ You prefer adjustable typing angles: It has a fixed 6° angle and lacks adjustable feet.
❌ You travel frequently: Weighing nearly 1.9kg and built from a heavy aluminum case, it is designed only for a desk setup.
Final Verdict
After spending time with the Womier ERA75, I can confidently say it’s a well-thought-out and highly enjoyable keyboard. From the moment you unbox it, you can notice the attention to detail. If I had to sum it up, the Womier ERA75 is a thoughtfully engineered, fun keyboard that can appeal to both enthusiasts and casual users. Personally, I’m pleased with it, and I can easily see it becoming my daily driver for both work and gaming.

Former Nintendo boss presses on the significance of Xbox’s multiplatform strategy.
He says Xbox now needs both Nintendo and PlayStation to reach a wider audience.
The console wars are now over, and the years of direct competition are done.
The current state of the Xbox is quite interesting; while its hardware sales are at their worst in years, it has transitioned into a complete multiplatform publisher. Even former industry personalities now claim that this move was essential for the company.
Former Nintendo of America boss says Xbox needs support from PlayStation and Nintendo if it wants a bright future. It is the only way the company can reach a wider audience amid falling hardware sales.
Why it matters: Xbox hardware has totally lost it this generation, leading to the end of the console wars. As software is a primary revenue driver, going multiplatform was a logical step for the company.
Former Nintendo boss says Xbox’s future in the industry depends on PlayStation and Nintendo
Talking to The Game Business, Reggie Fils-Aimé shared his thoughts on what’s going on at Xbox. He said the years of direct competition are done, and Xbox is now a third-party publisher that also makes some hardware.
Xbox needs support from Sony for Microsoft’s software to reach the largest audience, and it would be in their best interest to find ways to make its way onto the Nintendo platform.
– Reggie Fils-Aimé
He said that support from Sony and Nintendo is essential if it wants to reach a larger audience, and it is doing just that. Titles like Indiana Jones and more had better sales on PS5 than Xbox, highlighting the impact.
Xbox hardware sales have significantly declined
For now, Microsoft doesn’t have many Nintendo ports apart from Minecraft, but Fils-Aimé says the company should, in the future, try to expand the Nintendo roster as well. The Switch 2 is a big hit, and they can capitalize on it.
Nonetheless, Xbox is still planning to launch next-gen hardware that is expected to be a hybrid console costing over $1000. So, for casual users, the PS6 would still be an easier choice as it’s rumored to be around $600.

Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida recently revealed that Sony inspired FromSoftware to become a game company.
Sony’s push for CD-ROMs in the industry showed FromSoftware that it could follow suit.
This eventually led to the two collaborating on projects like Demon’s Souls and Bloodborne.
PlayStation has been part of the gaming industry for well over 30 years at this point. Spanning five generations of consoles, the gaming giant has also worked with some of the industry’s best talents in the industry.
These include the likes of Square Enix, FromSoftware, and more. In fact, former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida recently revealed that FromSoftware may have never joined the industry without PlayStation’s transition to gaming.
Speaking on the My Perfect Console podcast, Shuhei Yoshida recently noted that Sony’s decision to support CD-ROMs in the gaming industry played a vital role in FromSoftware joining the industry.
He highlighted that FromSoftware was originally a business software company, which showed interest in Sony’s CD-ROM system, the PlayStation. This eventually gave FromSoftware the idea that it could also become a game publisher.
A few companies saw the opportunity in CD-ROMs. One of these companies was FromSoftware. When they saw PlayStation was a CD-ROM system, they thought ‘we can become a video game publisher.’
For context, Sony was originally asked to manufacture a CD-ROM for Nintendo’s SNES. Nintendo backing out of the deal eventually led to Sony releasing the first PlayStation, and it seems this domino effect led to FromSoftware becoming the gaming giant we know today.
The studio is best known for its work on Dark Souls and Elden Ring today. PlayStation itself has also collaborated with the studio on multiple occasions, publishing both Bloodborne and Demon’s Souls.
FromSoftware and PlayStation Came Together To Launch Bloodborne For The PS4
In fact, demand for a return to Bloodborne is at an all-time high today. Rumors have pointed to something related to this IP being in the works for a while, but fans have been left waiting on official word from PlayStation for many years.

The reliable Rainbow Six and XDefiant leaker, Shiiny77, unveiled that Ubisoft is working on another competitive live-service shooter using UE5 earlier today. Now, multiple images of the multiplayer entry, codenamed Project Scout, have already leaked online.
Why it matters: Ubisoft might be looking to redeem itself after launching multiple live-service games that failed to stick around in the populated genre. However, many gamers are already questioning the publisher’s decision.
The images were leaked by @6leaksgg on Twitter, with one appearing to show a loading screen featuring a character gazing at a city from a tower. The sci-fi elements perfectly corroborate the previous leak from earlier today.
The other image showcases what appears to be bare-bones gameplay, basic UI elements, and a mini-map. The rudimentary gameplay and visuals make sense since Project Scout is likely in the skeletal stages of development.
Project Scout reportedly aims to be a large-scale competitive FPS experience with full crossplay support, but it might be years away from launch, given the current progress.
Ubisoft’s last attempt at a live-service shooter eventually flopped.
It may also have to compete with Bungie’s upcoming Marathon and other shooters to stand out. Ubisoft’s decision to use UE5 could give it a visual edge and the ambitious “large scale” it’s targeting compared to other live-service games.
However, it would have to launch in an optimized, bug-free state while having strong player-friendly monetization to retain a wider audience over time.
Regardless, Ubisoft has been radio-silent since the project’s existence spilled out, so it’s best totake the leaks with a pinch of salt until an official reveal.

Sony has stated that the PS5 should remain profitable throughout the current fiscal year.
However, the company believes rising memory costs will impact hardware profitability during the next fiscal year.
PlayStation intends to monetize its current install base to make up for lost profits on the hardware side.
Sony recently reached yet another major milestone with the PS5, bringing it closer to the PS4’s sales within the same time period. The console is also profitable following a recent price hike.
According to Sony, this profitability will likely be maintained throughout FY25, but the future is anybody’s guess. The company states that rising memory costs could disrupt current profitability.
Why it matters: Console hardware has only become more expensive as time has gone on during this generation. Sony is currently in a good position with the PS5, but this could soon change.
Sony Has Found Quite A Lot of Success With The PS5
Speaking during the company’s latest earnings call, CFO Lin Tao discussed the profitability of the PS5.
She stated that Sony already has plenty of stock saved up for this fiscal year, so profitability should remain consistent for the next two quarters. However, the future is uncertain.
Lin Tao stated that fluctuating memory prices will certainly leave an impact on profitability over the next fiscal year, so Sony will explore other avenues to maintain the profitability of the overall business.
At present, the company intends to monetize its existing PlayStation user base to make up for rising hardware costs. In particular, the CFO pointed to network services and first-party titles as potential areas that could make up for lost money on hardware sales.
With regards to memory prices, when the prices of these parts go up, that will have an impact on the profitability of the hardware for the next fiscal year and onward.
Instead of additional hardware profitability, we want to really continue to monetize the install base.
The PS5 Has Sold 84.2 Million Units So Far
Because AI and data center demand have driven up memory costs, the PS5 will certainly become more expensive for Sony to manufacture in 2026. It will be interesting to see, then, whether the gaming giant maintains prices at the current level.
Big games like Marvel’s Wolverine and GTA 6 are also set to arrive next year, so 2026 should prove to be a pivotal year for the PS5.
At T4G, my task is to cover the latest news around the gaming globe ASAP and with the utmost precision. I adore all the games and respect all the devs behind the amazing games that we get all year. So, whether it’s a PC or a Console game, I got it all covered.
