Judas Could Be Take-Two's Next Big Hit After GTA 6!

Story Highlight
  • Judas could soon enter its playtesting and marketing phase, according to the latest job listing.
  • The game is expected to launch soon into FY 28, given the current trajectory.
  • We could learn more about the game in the coming months.

GTA 6 is currently all the hype in the gaming industry, but Take-Two has also been cooking up a new core IP that is expected to be the next big thing. BioShock creator’s Judas is a single-player, narrative-driven FPS, which was first revealed at The Game Awards 2022.

We haven’t seen many official updates since then, but that could change pretty soon. We found that Ghost Story Games is hiring a ‘player experience and community manager’ who is supposed to drive Judas’ upcoming marketing and playtesting efforts.

In other words, the title could be entering its final phases of development and could launch sooner than expected.

Why it matters: Take-Two’s new IP has been in development for many years already despite not seeing notable official updates. However, that could change soon with marketing efforts as Judas enters its final phases of development.

As per the job listing, the community manager is expected to drive player engagement with marketing efforts, perform content creation, and handle customer service. These tasks typically only become a priority once the game is in the final stages of development.

Assist with playtesting efforts including onboarding play testers, managing virtual and IRL technical set ups, and other operational needs as they arise.

The job listing also highlights helping in playtesting efforts and collaboration with the broader marketing team to promote Judas among gamers. Therefore, it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing official gameplay reveals in the coming months.

Collaborate with the broader marketing team on campaign planning, research, competitive analysis, and copywriting.

The game might even appear with new footage in one of the upcoming events later this year, such as The Game Awards 2026.

Judas release
Judas is expected to launch soon after April 2027, according to the current trajectory.

A previous update by Take-Two revealed that Ghost Story Games might launch Judas between FY28 and FY29. However, the current course suggests we might see it come out much sooner into FY 28, rather than later, like around April 2027 in the best-case scenario.
