- Intel is already prevalent in developing high-end CPUs.
- However, the blue team is now looking to launch its next-gen Battlemage Arc GPUs next month.
- Meanwhile, Nvidia is also looking to launch its RTX 50 Blackwell series at CES 2025.
While Nvidia and AMD are the tech giants known for making top-notch GPUs, the CPU maker Intel is also marking its presence in this field. Although there are still Intel first-gen Arc GPUs, the company is now looking for a new series of GPUs, Battlemage Arc.
As the latest reports suggest, Intel is now considering launching Battlemage Arc GPUs next month.
Why it matters: Intel must work hard to compete with giants like Nvidia and others to establish a strong presence in the GPU market.
Intel has been doing well in developing high-performing CPUs like the 200 Ultra series. However, Team Blue is far behind the other teams, like AMD and Nvidia, in making GPUs, with the latter having the upper hand in this domain.
However, Intel is now looking to compete with them with the introduction of the next-gen Battlemage Arc GPUs next month.
This leak comes from Golden Pig, who said that Intel’s next-gen GPUs will be coming next month. This means we will see Intel’s magic in December. However, there is no specific date for the launch.
While the performance of these next-gen GPUs hasn’t been estimated, the leaker’s statement gives some idea, as he says that these GPUs will be brilliantly performing, suggesting a high performance of the GPUs.
The alleged specs of these next-gen GPUs are TSMC’s 4nm process, which features up to 32 Xe2 cores, up to 16 GB of memory, and up to 256-bit bus configurations.
Nvidia is also launching its next-gen RTX 50 Blackwell GPUs, which will launch in 2025 and be announced in the coming weeks.
