Latest PC Port From PlayStation Early 2024!

The Horizon franchise has emerged as one of the greatest PlayStation-exclusive IPs. It is also among the many PlayStation IPs available on PC, with Horizon Forbidden West recently rumored to be next.

Horizon Forbidden West has already sold over 8.4 million units, becoming another successful blockbuster entry for the PS4 and PS5. Last month, the reliable leaker, Billbil-kun, suggested that a PC port for the game was in the works.

The leaker claimed that it would arrive soon, and PlayStation has officially confirmed this information. Horizon Forbidden West is headed to the platform in early 2024.

Why it matters: Horizon Zero Dawn introduced many PC gamers to Aloy and her adventures. The impressive technical aspects of the latest release also have the potential to shine on more powerful PC hardware.

The game was previously spotted for the PS5 on Singapore’s Rating Board, leading to the leaked PC port.

Earlier today, a listing from the Japanese retailer Neowing revealed that the PS5 version of the game would be available on October 6. PlayStation confirms that this date was accurate, and the PC version will follow next year.

PlayStation has announced that Horizon Forbidden West will include all the additional content on PC. This includes the Burning Shores DLC and extra content like a digital art book.

PlayStation 5 Horizon Forbidden West

Since Horizon Forbidden West is considered among the most technically advanced games on the PS5, it will fit right at home with the PC platform. The capable porting studio, Nixxes Software, is also returning for this port.

Previously, the studio has brought games like Spider-Man to life on PC, promising to continue its excellent journey of bringing PlayStation games to PC storefronts like Steam and Epic Game Store.

On the subject of the Horizon franchise, Guerrilla Games plans to continue the franchise for a long time, and an online Horizon game has also been in development for nearly six years.

Moreover, a sequel to Horizon Forbidden West is being worked on at Guerrilla Games, so it seems that the developers will not abandon the franchise anytime soon.
