Horizon Forbidden West was launched nearly a year ago and it received extremely positive reviews. Guerilla Games‘ new IP has gathered a huge fan base, and the Horizon games have joined the best of PlayStation’s excellent first-party line-up.

Months after release, post-launch content has not been announced for Horizon Forbidden West yet. However, Horizon Zero Dawn received DLC nearly nine months after the game was released. As such, fans have speculated about a similar release for Horizon Forbidden West.

Recent rumors have also hinted at potential DLC content for Horizon Forbidden West and now a new job listing for a Senior Character Artist has once again hinted at a potential DLC expansion for Horizon Forbidden West.

The job listing is specifically for the Senior Character Artist for the Character Art Team whose sole focus is bringing diverse tribes of Horizon World to life, as it states;

“Guerrilla’s Character Art team is a multifaceted group of artists with a single focus: bringing the diverse tribes of Horizon’s worlds to life.”

As seen above coupled with previous rumors, the developer could indeed be working on a DLC expansion for Horizon Forbidden West with new Tribes. The rumored DLC expansion could allow players to explore brand new regions and interact with unknown tribes from the Horizon universe.

Horizon Forbidden West currently consists of five different tribes. These tribes are very different from each other and add to the impressive atmosphere of the game. Guerilla Games could now be looking to take things one step further, expanding into the vast Horizon universe.

Horizon Zero Dawn sold over 20 million copies. While an exact sales figure for the newest entry has not been released, it would not be far-fetched to expect similar success for Horizon Forbidden West.

While fans of the Horizon games might find themselves excited at this possibility, it would be wise to wait for official word from PlayStation or Guerilla Games. The job listing is pointing towards a possible DLC release, but no official confirmation has been made so far.
