- It will be made at Amazon MGM studios and will be a spinoff to the show, Secret Level.
- The actor is also prominently attached to a live-action Warhammer adaptation as well.
Henry Cavill is amongst the biggest nerds in the Hollywood industry. The Superman actor is known to be a big gamer, having also played Geralt in Netflix’s The Witcher show, and is also the biggest fan of the Warhammer 40K universe.
It is already confirmed that the star is set to feature in a live-action adaptation, but Henry Cavill is now also producing an animated Warhammer 40K series at Amazon. He describes the franchise as one of his passion projects.
Why it matters: Cavill has been a lifelong fan of the source material, so if anyone was to be involved in both adaptations, he does sound like the right guy for it. With the massive fan base, there will be a lot of hype.
Variety has learned that Henry Cavill is producing an animated Warhammer 40,000 series at Amazon MGM Studios. As stated earlier, the project is separate from the live-action, of which Cavill is also a prominent part.
The series will be a spinoff of Amazon’s previous show, Secret Level, which also had a Warhammer 40K episode. The series will feature The Deathwatch, a group of Space Marines that specialize in hunting down alien threats.
However, that is all we know of the show so far. But this is finally Cavill getting his redemption after he was let go by Netflix from The Witcher. He was excellent as Geralt, and his leaving left the show fractured.
