Requires A High End PC!

Story Highlight
  • Many players previously reported that God of War 3 crashes too much when played with RPCS3.
  • However, the game can now be completed without issues via an emulator.
  • One user managed to complete the game, and he recommended a high-specify PC to play the game.

Still, in this era, all PS3 games aren’t playable via emulators. However, there has always been progress going on in this market as PC fans are eager to play this game on their desired platform.

It was revealed back in 2022 that RPCS3 can run all of the PS3 games. However, that wasn’t exactly true, as players still had trouble playing God of War 3 with this emulator. However, one player has revealed that you can now finally complete the game via the RPCS3 emulator.

Why it matters: Emulating games hasn’t always been easy, so fans would be delighted to know that one of the most iconic games is now playable on PC.

Senhor Linguica on Twitter has confirmed that God of War 3 is indeed playable on PC. However, he mentioned that it requires a high-end PC and some settings. He uploaded a 3-minute-long gameplay, which proves that the game is playable and can now be finished on PC.

That said, it is still far from ideal, as you would need a high-end PC. In this instance, a high-end PC doesn’t mean you would need a card like 4090. An RTX 3060 would be sufficient, too. It should be noted that dips in the FPS are noticeable.

The FPS does go above 60 in some instances; however, the dips during the combat are massive. Nonetheless, it is great to see such an iconic game finally being played on the PC platform without crashes.

Fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time now. Previously, the game was playable on PC via the same emulator, but it had many issues. The majority of gamers reported that their game randomly crashes, which just ruins the fun.

If you don’t mind constant dips in the FPS while playing this iconic God of War 3, then we would recommend trying it out on your PC. Linguica has mentioned all of the necessary steps you need to take to play this game.

So, go over his Twitter page and follow the exact instructions to enjoy the game on your PC. PS4 emulators are also evolving, as 140 PlayStation 4 games are playable as of February. One emulator even managed to run Bloodborne on PC, but it is still not playable.
