- This title has managed to stir excitement among the fandom and is coming in 2025.
Fans have asked for the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima for so long now. The game was launched in 2020, so fans have been hoping to hear anything regarding the sequel. Many insiders revealed that the game would be revealed this year, and it seems it did.
While Sony didn’t really tell fans that it is a sequel in the trailer, it has confirmed in the blog that this game maintains the core pillars of Ghost of Tsushima, meaning it is a sequel. Ghost of Yotei has officially been announced and is coming in 2025.
Why it matters: Fans have longed for a sequel to this PlayStation exclusive for a long time so they would delighted to see trailer.
The trailer starts with featuring Mount Yotei in the year 1603, so there are going to be historical bombs for the fandom. Sucker Punch wanted to do something new this time and look beyond the story of Jin Sakai. So, the developer focused on the idea of Ghosts per se.
The official PlayStation blog reveals that this story takes place 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima and features Atsu’s journey. This seems like an interesting idea, but it might be a little disappointing to some fans who have been waiting to see more of Jin Sakai’s adventures.
Many locations have also been revealed, and they all look absolutely gorgeous. Every place is a treat to the eye.
Other than the giant, didn’t really know much about this game, but we do know now that it is a successor to Ghost of Tsushima.
Nonetheless, Ghost of Yotei looks amazing and will be released in 2025. Next year is definitely going to be an amazing one for gaming.
