The GeForce RTX 4090 is Nvidia’s flagship gaming graphics card. Nvidia boasts impressive innovations with the graphics card, but the steep $1599.99 MSRP means that the GeForce RTX 4090 is far from the reach of most users.
But to our surprise (due to the incredibly high price), the GeForce RTX 4090 is currently the best-selling graphics card spot on Newegg.
It should also be noted that the top 5 graphics cards in the best-sellers consist of Nvidia products only, with only 2 AMD GPUs in the top 10. AMD’s recently launched Radeon RX 7900XT comes in 6th place while the flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX takes last place.
Given the $1599.99 price of the GeForce RTX 4090, it isn’t easy to see how graphics cards like the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti are less popular than the premium GPU. The GeForce RTX 4090 is designed for enthusiasts willing to spend incredibly high amounts for the ultimate gaming performance.
For the GeForce RTX 4090’s price, however, users get a lot of performance and innovative features. The GeForce RTX 4090 can help deliver the ultimate experience at 4K resolution in many modern titles while performing nearly 60% faster than the GeForce RTX 3090.
It also offers the best Ray-tracing performance. The DLSS 3, coupled with Frame Generation, makes things even better, allowing the flagship graphics card to push incredibly high frame rates in the most demanding scenarios like Cyberpunk 2077’s Ultra Ray-tracing mode.
Last generation, the GeForce RTX 3090 did not offer a massive uplift over the GeForce RTX 3080 for the $1500 price point. However, the GeForce RTX 4090 is, by and large, the best gaming GPU out right now, and it looks like Nvidia has succeeded in selling the ultimate GPU despite the high price.
