Gamer Obtains GTX 1050 Ti For Incredible Price of Just $2 At Goodwill

Older GPU But An Insane Deal At This Price Nonetheless!

Story Highlight
  • A gamer recently bought a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti for only $2 at Goodwill.
  • This is an incredible find, especially since prices are on the rise for hardware across the globe.
  • The card is an older entry-level GPU, but it can still handle lightweight gaming and older titles.

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is far from a modern powerhouse, but in an era where consumer-grade hardware is only becoming more expensive due to memory shortages, it is far from a terrible graphics card to have. This is even more true if said GPU was purchased for just $2.

Why it matters: The GTX 1050 Ti lacks modern features like DLSS and ray-tracing, but it can certainly play a lot of games from the last generation and prior.

The GTX 1050 Ti Was An Incredible Budget Buy When It Initially Launched

Over on Reddit, user u/LittleBanditReddit shared his latest budget find from Goodwill. The user managed to get his hands on a GTX 1050 Ti for just $2, and after testing the graphics card, he concluded that it still works completely fine.

Of course, the price is the real highlight here. Even as an older Pascal-era card, the GTX 1050 Ti can still be useful for esports titles and some 1080p gaming with plenty of tweaking and tinkering around with settings.

Moreover, a GTX 1050 Ti can even be a great fit for an older OEM PC. Because it can run without an external power supply, simply throwing the graphics card in an existing PC can turn an office machine into a semi-competent gaming system.

Many in the comments section have noted that this was an incredible find for the Redditor, with some even saying that they were jealous of his luck. Of course, this is just one of the many rare finds PC gamers have shared recently, including one where a person found working PC components by dumpster diving around his house.

What do you think about this deal in particular? Feel free to share your own personal PC gaming bargains in the comments below.
