In an era where gaming PC prices are on the rise and buying hardware is becoming more expensive day by day, one buyer has managed to find a PC with a GeForce RTX 5070 for just $800 at Walmart.
Why it matters: Nvidia has recently raised its GPU prices by 30%, and memory shortages are expected to last for up to 2 more years. Under these circumstances, this deal couldn’t have been any better.
For context, this system originally cost nearly $2000 at Walmart. The Redditor was, however, lucky enough to find it on sale, with the discount cutting the price down by $1100.
This means that he was able to obtain the pre-built system for a price that would typically cover just the GeForce RTX 5070 GPU alone. Perhaps the most important part of this PC is the included RAM and storage amounts.

Even with how demanding modern games have become, there really isn’t anything out today that an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F and RTX 5070 combo won’t handle at resolutions like 1440p or 4K.
The Redditor could also sell the PC and make a quick profit, though given the current market conditions, it may be best to stick with it for a few years.
