Fable Gameplay Potentially Hinted At For Xbox Games Showcase

Gameplay Could Be Coming Soon!

Fable fans have been patiently waiting for thirteen years to revisit the franchise. During the Xbox Showcase in 2020, a Fable reboot was confirmed, but Xbox has remained quiet about the game after the initial announcement.

With the gaming giant approaching nearly three years since the announcement, fans have been curious to learn if Fable would be featured in this year’s Xbox Showcase. While nothing has been confirmed, a new hint from Xbox strongly suggests that fans will not be disappointed.

Why it matters: Fable is one of the big AAA first-party games planned for the Xbox Series S|X consoles. A new appearance at the showcase could also reveal more details about the release date.

The recent video from Xbox features the Fable theme, along with a magical trail of glitter.

A similar trail has been featured in previous games to guide players, acting as a waypoint system. As such, Microsoft appears to be hinting at Fable for the Xbox Games Showcase.

Since the game was announced several years ago, Microsoft will likely give fans more than just another cinematic trailer. Previously, Matt Booty from Xbox claimed that he was excited to show the game to audiences worldwide.

However, the game was not ready to be shown at that point. This statement was made over eight months ago, and Playground Games and Xbox may be now prepared to reveal the first gameplay footage.

In addition to gameplay footage, Xbox could also reveal more information about Fable, including the much-anticipated release window for the title. The Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled for June 11, and this small teaser has helped to increase the anticipation for an already exciting event.
