While the expectations were really high for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as the franchise was finally getting a revival after a decade-long wait, the RPG quickly became one of the most disappointing releases of last year.

Following the poor release, it was recently confirmed that Dragon Age: The Veilguard would not receive further updates. Earlier, it was also reported that BioWare had fired every writer who worked on the title.

This sparked concerns within the fandom, but one of the developers has stated that Dragon Age isn’t dead.

Why it matters: The director behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard has also left EA after the disappointing attempt to revive the franchise. These series of events have given fans more than enough reason to be concerned.

Soon after it was confirmed that BioWare was undergoing restructuring, many fans were concerned that Dragon Age would not return. However, one of the developers has reassured fans that this isn’t the case.

He further stated that the franchise belongs to the fans, and if there’s more demand for it, we may see another release in the future.

Although the franchise was dead for almost a decade, the fans were still very excited about the next entry. Therefore, even with the latest failure, there is a chance that many fans will continue to stick with Dragon Age in the hopes of another revival at some point.
