Multiple Leaks Point To Announcement Soon!

Story Highlights
  • A third Dishonored entry was leaked earlier this year.
  • Arkane is rumored to announce its next game at The Game Awards.
  • A leaker has hinted that this game may be Dishonored 3.

Arkane Studios has had a rough time ever since the launch of Redfall. With this game being the studio’s worst-reviewed title ever, the developer desperately needs a big win. Fortunately, Dishonored 3 was leaked not too long ago.

Over on Reddit, leaker NatetheHate claimed that Arkane is set to announce a new game at The Game Awards. Later, Brad Sams reacted to a Tweet with a single emoji of a guy holding a sword, hinting at Dishonored.

Why it matters: Dishonored 3’s announcement would cover the fiasco that was Redfall. The franchise is also very beloved, and fans would love a sequel after many years.

Dishonored is regarded as one of the best franchises in the stealth-action genre, and we have Arkane to thank for it. Its sequel was released almost seven years ago at this point, so fans have been craving a new game for a while.

While Dishonored: Death of the Outsider concluded the narrative, Arkane could consider a reboot to bring the series back. Apart from Dishonored, the studio could be working on a Deathloop sequel since both games were created by Arkane Lyon.

While Arkane Austin released Redfall this year, the other half of this team has not released a new game in two years. Therefore, an announcement at The Game Awards 2023 would not be too shocking.

While new games for both Deathloop and Dishonored would be interesting announcements for the fans, we believe the latter is more likely to be featured at The Game Awards.

Both games are already set in the same universe, so Dishonored 3 could continue the connected narrative of Arkane Lyon’s projects while appealing to fans at the same time.

Still, these are all rumors for now.

The Game Awards is now one day away, and the possibility of Dishonored 3 showing up at the event has led to more excitement for millions of fans worldwide. Meanwhile, Arkane Austin is continuing to support Redfall, reportedly hoping to redeem the game.
