Fingers Crossed For No More Delays!

Story Highlight
  • Crimson Desert has gone gold two months earlier than release, making further delays unlikely despite previous setbacks.
  • Early impressions from media events describe the title as one of the most ambitious projects of the decade.
  • The game is set to launch on March 19 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Pearl Abyss (the developer and publisher behind Crimson Desert) has confirmed that the game has gone gold two months before its March 19 release. Crimson Desert is a hotly anticipated upcoming open-world action adventure game, which was originally under development as a prequel to Black Desert Online.

The game has been widely described online as an ‘everything’ game due to its massive size and its combination of many different game mechanics. Crimson Desert also received positive previews after journalists played the game at Gamescom 2024 and Summer Game Fest 2025.

Why it matters: Crimson Desert going gold basically confirms that the game will not receive another delay, which many fans had expected given the game’s massive scope and previous delays.
