Capcom’s Latest Survey Hints At More Resident Evil Remakes

Expert Verified By

More Remakes Coming Soon!

Resident Evil is among the earliest and most popular horror gaming franchises. It is also Capcom’s best-selling franchise, with over 142 million copies sold worldwide.

Capcom has found new success when it comes to remaking its old game, and fans have already seen multiple remakes of the Resident Evil franchise. Following the recent success of Resident Evil 4 Remake, it looks like Capcom plans to remake even more Resident Evil games.

Why it Matters: The Resident Evil remakes provide a great opportunity for new and old fans to play these iconic games with updated mechanics and visuals. They have also been a huge financial success for Capcom.

Resident Evil Remakes Survey
Source: Capcom’s Recent Survey

In a recent survey from Capcom, fans have been asked many questions regarding the Resident Evil franchise, and one of them directly asks fans whether they want more remakes from the franchise.

The developers also asked the fans to specify which games they would be interested in. Interestingly, this is not the first time Capcom has asked fans about more Resident Evil remakes.

The company sent out a similar survey several years ago, and a brand-new remake has just been released. As such, it might be a safe bet to say that Capcom will remake more Resident Evil games.

However, a new game is unlikely to arrive anytime soon. With the developer’s track record, fans may have to wait three years before the next remake. Capcom’s latest release has also hinted that Resident Evil 5 might be next to get the remake treatment.
