Resident Evil 4 Remake Was The Best-Selling US Game In March

Another Achievement For RE4 Remake!

Capcom has done a great job with the remake of Resident Evil 4. The game sold over 3 million copies just two days after its release, and according to the recent update given by Capcom, the game has already crossed over 4 million total sales.

Adding to this success, the latest Circana data reports that Resident Evil 4 Remake was the best-selling game in the United States in March.

Though the game is not even a month old, it already stands at the third spot on the best-selling US games of 2023. While Resident Evil 4 came out on top, Hogwarts Legacy ranked second among the best-selling games in March.

Moreover, Resident Evil 4 Remake took the top spot as the most downloaded PS5 game in the EU and US last month, once again beating titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Grand Theft Auto 5, and WWE 2k23.

As such, it makes sense that the game has already become such a hit in 2023. Recently, the original Redient Evil 4 Director, Shinji Mikami, also completed the remake, stating that he enjoyed the game very much.

Despite the already successful launch, Capcom still has much more to offer fans. The developer previously confirmed a VR experience for the Resident Evil 4 Remake, allowing players to enjoy the game while fully immersed in the horrifying world.

Capcom’s recent remakes have not disappointed gaming fans. After the recent success, many noticed that Resident Evil 4 Remake’s final cutscene might be hinting at a potential Resident Evil 5 Remake, with the game being planned already.

Capcom has confirmed nothing regarding Resident Evil 5, so fans are suggested to take it with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, the Resident Evil 4 Remake has been a great release for Capcom, living up to the expectations of fans and critics worldwide.
