Rockstar Is Confident In GTA 6's Current Release Date!

Story Highlight
  • A string of new job listings on the Rockstar Games site suggests that it is preparing for a huge marketing campaign for GTA 6.
  • 11 positions are currently open for marketing localization QA testers for different countries, and more will be available later.
  • These listings also pretty much confirm that Rockstar is quite confident in GTA 6’s current release date after facing a delay.

Rockstar Games is pouring everything it’s got into developing and polishing GTA 6 for the highly excited gamers. So, even after the last delay, fans were already fearing another pushback to the game’s launch date, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

A series of new job listings have been spotted on the Rockstar Games site, which suggests that the studio is cooking a huge marketing campaign for GTA 6. The team currently has 11 positions open for marketing localization QA testers, each aiming for a major country.

Why it matters: Rockstar typically only does serious marketing for its games right when they are close to release. So, the new job listings suggest that the game’s development has come along smoothly ever since the last delay.

GTA 6
Rockstar has 11 positions open for marketing localization QA testers for major countries.

These job listings are a huge deal because they are the studio’s subtle way of confirming that GTA 6 will actually drop on its release date. In other words, Rockstar Games appears entirely confident, so it is getting ready for huge marketing campaigns ahead of launch.

So, countries like Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and more will likely start seeing promotions and marketing for GTA 6. It is a global campaign because Rockstar implies that more positions for more countries will become available in the near future.

Similarly, a listing for a mobile engineer also teases that Rockstar is making a live companion app for GTA 6, something we have already seen with GTA 5 and RDR2. This mobile app could be used to interact with the title in various ways and enhance overall gameplay.

GTA 6
GTA 6 is aiming to shake the entire gaming industry, as other studios brace for impact.

On a side note, past rumors have suggested that GTA 6 will feature 700+ enterable buildings, and its budget is well over $1 billion.
