- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release in just 2 days.
- The game has a lot of hype and anticipation, even after last year’s poor release.
- Despite it being available on Game Pass the game is currently the best seller on Steam.
Modern Warfare 3, released last year, was pretty disappointing as it is the worst-rated COD in the series. The campaign was so underwhelming that the majority of fandom was disappointing. However, the upcoming release in the series, Black Ops 6, looks promising.
The game is set to release in just a couple of days, and the hype is pretty clear. It is currently the best-seller on Steam even after being available on the Game Pass, which shows high demand.
Why it matters: The majority fandom of multiplayer games is on PC, and they prefer to use Steam as the primary launcher. So, it won’t be surprising for the game’s sales to be high despite being available on Game Pass.
As you can see in the image above, Black Ops 6 is the best-selling game on Steam right now. This is because there are only two days left before the game’s release, so the pre-orders seem to be going really strong.
To get more sales, Microsoft has also removed the $1 Game Pass trial, which seems to be a smart move. It is very likely that many will try out this title on the Game Pass due to their experience with the previous entry in the series.
While the impressions are positive there are some concerns arising. Recently, the first non-binary operator in the game was revealed, and it seems like Activision is going all out on DEI.
However, other than that, the game looks promising, and hopefully, its campaign won’t disappoint. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25.
